Erin Gibb is a seasoned public affair professional with over 20 years of experience and is the Communications Director at ArroyoWest. She started her professional journey in the White House Office of Communications before moving to San Diego County and working on dozens of state and local political campaigns. She served as the Intergovernmental Affairs Coordinator for the City of Chula Vista from 2004 to 2006 and then moved to Philadelphia to work along the East Coast as a communications and land use consultant.
Erin’s work as a consultant spans a variety of industries including conservation and environmental initiatives, education, political campaigns, land use and planning disputes, strategic communication, community engagement, and renewable energy. She has written a variety of communication strategies, campaign plans, and built grassroots initiatives to help clients like hospitals, developers, and wind farms earn the planning and land use approvals they require while also working to build bridges between her clients, their neighbors, and the broader community.
In 2016, she founded a company called Green Explorers Club that teaches kids about sustainability, climate change, and endangered species while helping students become better environmental stewards. She has written and developed volumes of sustainability curriculum for children in grades K-3 and has participated in environmental initiatives on both coasts. She has developed and held leadership roles in three small businesses over the last ten years where she served as the head of communications and brand development.
Erin received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and earned her master’s degree from the University of Southern California. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, hiking, following politics, international travel, learning Italian, and spending time with her friends and family.
